India and the United States have made important steps towards strengthening their defense partnership, American ambassador to India Eric Garcetti said on Monday. He said the two countries are committed to promoting resilient and rules-based international order to safeguard “free open and inclusive” Indo-Pacific.
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti on Monday visited the US mission in the national capital New Delhi to oversee the “unprecedented demand” for US visitor visas among the Indians.
The US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, on Wednesday, said the “great minds” back in his homeland and India can find more paths to peace. “I’m so proud to see the United States of America and India working together for a more peaceful world. But we have to innovate. The world is changing more in the next five or 10 years than it’s changed in the last 100 years. But the great minds in India and the great minds in United States can work to find more paths to peace,” he said.

Highlighting the bond between New Delhi and Washington, US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti said that working as an envoy in India is a “fun job.” While addressing the event “US National Day celebrations” in Mumbai, Garcetti on Thursday said, “I am Eric Garcetti and I get to serve as President Biden’s ambassador from the United States to India. I have to say, it is the most fun job I have ever had in my entire life. I’m going to eat my way through India. I’m going to advance my way through India. But more importantly, together with you, we are going to write a new chapter on US-India relations.”
Hailing Indian artwork and its historical contribution to the world, United States Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti on Monday said that the US government is working to pave the way for returning more artwork that needs to be in India, as a permanent part of new India-US friendship.
India’s Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday discussed with United States Ambassador Eric Garcetti about advancing cooperation between both countries to check terrorism, drug trafficking and security domains.
