Foreign Tourist Arrivals in India increased to 6.19 million, earnings to Rs 134,543 crore in 2022
The tourism industry of India is showing signs of revival after the pandemic. According to the latest data released by the Bureau of Immigration, India received 6.19 million Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) during 2022 as compared to 1.52 million during the same period in 2021. Though the increase may seem appreciable, the foreign tourist inflow is still not up to the pre-pandemic levels – there were 10.93 million Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) in India in 2019.

We have seen “RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt)” – all three hours and seven minutes of it – in a single Netflix binge last year. Previously we were told about the outlandish special effects, and a dance tune that everybody was raving about. We were ready for, maybe, ten minutes of a quick browse before moving on. Lo and behold, we were at the end and did not realize where these hours went.

Lucknow’s 153-year-old Amir-ud-Daula library has been fully digitalized.
More than 80,000 digitized books and 27,000 e-magazines are now available free on the library’s website and the content is also available on a mobile app Lucknow Digital Library.
