Sonia Gandhi, veteran Indian politician and Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Thursday morning, according to sources.
The senior Congress leader is reportedly in stable condition and is expected to be discharged on Friday.
Gandhi, who turned 78 in December, has had previous hospital visits for health check-ups in recent years.
In September 2023, she was also admitted to the same hospital after experiencing fever-like symptoms.
Following the news of her hospitalization, several Congress leaders and party members have expressed their concern and wished her a speedy recovery.
Further updates on her health will be provided after her discharge.
