This 30-year-old Bollywood actress has been chosen as the first Indian global ambassador for the luxury fashion brand Gucci. Alia Bhatt has been on a roll in 2023 as she made her Met Gala debut, and her first Hollywood film Heart of Stone will release soon.
Gucci tweeted: “As an example of a creative talent fostering empowerment and self-expression within the next generation, #AliaBhatt is recognized by the House as the latest Global Brand Ambassador.”
Bhatt will soon make her first appearance as Gucci’s global brand ambassador very soon. Alia will attend the highly-anticipated Gucci Cruise 2024 runway show in Seoul, said reports by WWD. The event will mark the fashion house’s 25 years in the country and, will be held in the city’s Gyeongbokgung Palace.
In another Gucci tweet, Alia Bhatt stated: “I’m honored to represent the house of Gucci not only in India but at a global stage. Gucci’s legacy has always inspired and intrigued me and I’m looking forward to the many sartorial milestones we create together.”
As a Gucci ambassador, Bhatt has joined the ranks of international A-listers like Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae, South Korean actress Mina Shin, Japanese talent Jun Shison, singer Harry Styles, and Dakota Johnson.
Alia recently debuted at the Met Gala. The actress walked the red carpet of fashion’s biggest night in a white pearl gown by designer Prabal Gurung. Her gorgeous silhouette was made up of around 100,000 pearls and was inspired by Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look.
Alia’s first Hollywood project, Heart of Stone, will release on August 11 on Netflix. Heart of Stone features Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Paul Ready, among others.But before that, in July, she will next be seen in a Bollywood movie, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh and Jaya Bachchan. The movie which is being directed by Karan Johar is expected to hit theatres on July 28.
