indica News Bureau-
With the US President Donald Trump’s visit to India coming close, likely deals between US and India, along with those on India’s wish-list have started being discusses in not so hushed whispers. Recently a top government source told an Indian media channel that the Indian armed forces wished to acquire the drone that was used by US to kill Iranian General Qaseem Soleimani.
“We are interested in the drone technology used by the US special force to kill the Iranian military officer as it can quietly sneak in and kill its target without getting detected by radars”, said the source to India Today on Friday.
Adding that India could use the new technology to hold out a strike against those involved in inter-state terrorism and anti-India activities. “India can utilize such a drone to take out its targets”, the source added.
Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist leader Maulana Masood Azhar and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader Hafiz Saeed are some of the known anti-India non-state actors working inside Pakistan against Indian interests for several decades now.
Sources said India may also move ahead with the Predator drones deal with the United States but they would not be as effective in carrying out selective strikes as they can be shot down by a fighter aircraft.
