In order to bring these two groups together as an ‘ice-breaking’ exercise was conducted at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Anchorage, Alaska, where several friendly matches of each other’s national sport were played

Soldiers took part in the Indian game of Kabaddi, American football, and volleyball.

According to the statement released by the Indian Army, four mixed teams, comprising troops from both US and India, played several friendly matches with true sportsmanship spirit.

“Both contingents learned from each other’s games. Whereas the Indian troops tried their hand at American Football, the US troops participated with equal zeal and vigor in Kabaddi,” said the Indian Army.

A 14-day-long joint training exercise between the armies of India and the US began on Friday at Elmendorf Richardson joint base in Alaska, the Defense Ministry stated on Saturday.
