iNDICA NEWS BUREAU-

The president of Indian Overseas Congress USA Mohinder Singh Gilzian met Congress leaders Sonia
Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on December 15. He discussed different issues being faced by non-resident Indians.

The Congress leaders also discussed plans to get more support from NRI Indians. Gilzian said that the Indians living abroad are eager to see Congress back in power again. He added that the party’s supporters will come in large numbers to support the party in elections. Gilzian also congratulated Rahul Gandhi for holding successful 5 mega meetings in different parts of the USA earlier this year and submitted a detailed report on the events.

The IOC president also discussed the present political situation in Punjab and suggested that Congress should avoid any alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party as the people have lost faith in the ruling party and that Congress has a better chance to win the elections by contesting alone.

Gilzian also discussed the outcome of recent elections in five states and updated the leaders about the campaign done by IOC leadership in the Telangana elections where Congress emerged victorious.

Criticizing the divisive politics of the BJP, Gilzian said that the people of the country would not vote on caste or religion this time but for the better future of their children. “The people of India have only the Congress party as an option to defeat the BJP and its divide-and-rule policy,” he added.
