Indica News Founder-Editor Ritu Jha wins Journalistic Excellence Award from San Francisco Press Club

Indica News Founder-Editor Ritu Jha won the prestigious Journalistic Excellence Award on December 8 from the San Francisco Press Club in the Digital Media category.

Her story – ’I feel so bad, so bad about what has happened’ – about an Indian American who carried Indian flag at a Donald Trump rally was adjudged the best digital media – general news story for 2021 at the San Francisco Press Club 45th Annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards function.

“I am honored to win this award,” said Jha, soon after the awards function. “I would like to thank our supporters, readers, and the community for having faith in indica. It helps us and motivates us to provide news without fear or favor.”

This is Jha’s third win at the SF Press Club’s Annual Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards.
