As per a new EY-FICCI report, India has the potential to become the drone hub of the world.
Titled ‘Making India The Drone Hub of the World’, the report stated that India’s manufacturing potential can grow to $23 billion with the help of the drone industry.
It said the industry can also help India boost move towards the country’s target of a $5 trillion economy.
“Drones have a huge potential in India, and we are at the forefront of the revolution. Drones not only have applications in defence and national security but also huge potential in agriculture and other areas,” said Pradeep Namdeo, Group CEO of Prakhar Software Solutions, as quoted by businessworld.in.
Prakhar is the only Indian drone manufacturer that has developed fully indigenous flight controllers and other critical components like AI-based models and 3D printed components, the BW report stated.
Prakhar has also developed a “geospatial intelligence system to identify threat locations around any important or highly valued establishment supporting potential drone attacks, as well as the development of secure live-streaming tools with AI analytics capabilities, safeguarding sensitive data during tactical and surveillance operations”, the report stated.
Namdeo said, “To promote the use of drones in agriculture, Prakhar Software Solutions has partnered with the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), showcasing drone spraying across 1,250+ acres to enhance productivity.”
To support farmers and educate farmers about the advantages of using agri-drone technologies, Prakhar conducted a pilot project with local government bodies in 1,500 plus acres of land.
