Nvidia becomes world’s most valuable company, Microsoft falls to second place

Tech giant Nvidia has become the world’s most valuable company, going past Microsoft, after its stocks reached an all-time high Tuesday, as per reports.

The stock ended the trading day at nearly $136, up by 3.5 percent, enabling it overtake the Bill Gates co-founded company.

The Santa Clara-based company had overtaken Apple earlier in June. Nvidia’s market capitalization closed at roughly $3.34 trillion Tuesday. Microsoft’s current value is $3.32 trillion.

Apple remains the third most valuable company in the USA and world with a $3.27 trillion market cap.

Nvidia shares closed 3.5 percent higher Tuesday, while Microsoft shares fell 0.5 percent. Apple shares lost 1.1 percent. Nvidia earlier this month joined the tech giants in becoming the only third company to cross the $3 trillion market cap, reported CNN.
