On November 5, SFJ founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist in India, gave a call to the global Sikh community to “stop flying Air India” from November 19.

‘Absurd, motivated’: India rejects Canada’s allegations over killing of Khalistani terrorist

India on Tuesday rejected claims by the Canada government that it had an involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Terming them as “absurd and motivated” the external affairs ministry in a statement said, “We have seen and reject the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister. Allegations of Government of India’s involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated.”

Canadian school cancels Khalistan referendum event

A Khalistan referendum event, scheduled to take place on September 10 at a Canadian school, has been cancelled after images of weapons on the poster were brought to the school authorities’ notice by concerned residents. The Surrey School District announced on Sunday that it has cancelled the event at Tamanawis Secondary School in Surrey town of British Columbia province as the event organisers failed to remove the “concerning images” despite repeated requests.

Unprecedented security at Indian embassy in Washington for Khalistan rally

The US made unprecedented security arrangements at the Indian embassy in Washington D.C. on Tuesday in view of the demonstration by Khalistan activists, who had used particularly vitriolic language in the run-up to it. Armed officers of the local metropolitan police and the US Park Police threw a protective ring around the embassy, which is situated on a busy thoroughfare in downtown Washington D.C.

Anti-India protestors held away at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco on July 8 when pro-Khalistan groups shouted ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ (Hail Khalistan), some held Khalistan flags, others held placards proclaiming “Liberty or Death”, “Sikhs declare Independence from Lawless India,” etc, while some stood on the Indian National flag, and even brandished a large sword.
