iNDICA NEWS BUREAU-

Dan Scavino, Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Chief of Staff, announced on Thursday that US President Donald Trump has officially signed the commission confirming Kash Patel as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Scavino shared the news in a post on X, stating, “Moments ago in the Oval Office. Congratulations to the Ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel. President Trump has officially signed the commission… Follow Kash on his new account: @FBIDirectorKash.”

The White House also celebrated Patel’s confirmation, calling it a significant step in advancing President Trump’s agenda to restore integrity and uphold the rule of law. A post on X further emphasized that the FBI would now refocus on its core mission: enforcing justice fairly and without bias.

Patel, an ally of President Trump, was confirmed by the Senate on Thursday as FBI Director. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude for the support from President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi, vowing to rebuild the FBI as an agency that is “transparent, accountable, and committed to justice.” Patel also pledged to restore public trust in the bureau.

Despite opposition from Republican Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, Patel was supported by most Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had previously opposed other Trump nominees. The confirmation passed with a narrow 51-49 vote, with all Senate Democrats voting against him.
