Right-wing Indian leader Lal Krishna Advani hospitalized

India’s former deputy Prime Minister and prominent right-wing leader Lal Krishna Advani was reportedly admitted to the AIIMS in New Delhi late Wednesday night. As per reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader’s condition is stable now.

The 96-year-old Bharat Ratna awardee has been kept in a private ward under the supervision of doctors of the Urology Department, reports said.

He served as the Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 and was recently conferred the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, by President Droupadi Murmu.

Advani also served as BJP President three times.
