Today, October 17th, is celebrated as Sir Syed Day, being the birthday of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the founder of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
I regard Sir Syed as a British agent, like Gandhi, Jinnah, Savarkar, Tagore, Allama Iqbal, Bankim Chandra, Tilak, Aurobindo and many others. I have written an article on Sir Syed which is on my blog Satyam Bruyat titled ‘ An assessment of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan ‘. There I have given my reasons for calling Sir Syed a British agent, and I request everyone to carefully read what I have written before commenting on this post. I have written blogs on the others named above too on Satyam Bruyat.
I regard all the above mentioned persons as British agents as they furthered the wicked British policy of divide and rule and the bogus two nation theory which led to that historical British swindle called the Partition of India in 1947–the greatest tragedy of our country in its 5000 year old known history ( see my article ‘The Truth about Pakistan’ and BN Pande’s speech ‘History in the service of Imperialism’ online, see also the Mission Statement and the 16 Addresses to the Indian Nation on indianreunificationassociation.co.in ).
I regard as the real heroes of India to be Emperors Ashok and Akbar, Rana Pratap, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Tipu Sultan, Rani of Jhansi, Bhagat Singh, Surya Sen ( Masterda ), Chandrashekhar Azad, Bismil, Ashfaqulla, Khudiram Bose, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyaya, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Faiz, Firaq, Subramania Bharathi, Manto, Josh, etc.
Despite this, I have a high opinion of AMU as a great center of higher learning, with its Alumni shining everywhere, whether in the field of science, engineering, mathematics, medicine or in the liberal arts, or as entrepreneurs. Almost every city of USA has an AMU Alumni Association, some of which I have addressed on their invitation ( e.g. in Dallas ). There is also a Federation of AMU Alumni Associations, perhaps in Philadelphia, which invited me, but I could not go there.
