Built in 106 days, gone in 6 weeks: Nassau County Stadium to get dismantled

The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the temporary venue that hosted the high profile India vs. Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup on June 9, will be dismantled within the next six weeks, according to reports.

This unique stadium, which saw eight T20 World Cup matches, including the historic first-ever clash between the US and India, will soon return to its original state as a public park with a grassy field.

Excited, yet worried: How cricket is faring in the USA

Several young Indian Americans were flag-bearers at the ongoing International Cricket Council (ICC) 2024 T20 World Cup in the US, feeling proud to be part of an historic event in cricket.

Indica spoke to parents and students of the California Cricket Academy, one of the pioneer cricket academies in Silicon Valley. Founded by Hemant Buch, it sent eight students to the India-Ireland and India-Pakistan matches at the Nassau County International Stadium in Long Island.
