Moscow to Goa flight diverted over bomb threat, NSG team sent to detect suspicious substance

A heavy police force was deployed at Dabolim airport in Goa after an incoming chartered flight from Moscow to Goa was diverted to Gujarat’s Jamnagar over bomb threat. There were at least 244 people on-board the flight which landed at Jamnagar airport at around 9.49 pm on Monday. A National Security Guard (NSG) team has been deployed for detection of any suspicious substance on the Azur Air flight ZF2401, which was forced to make an emergency landing at Gujarat’s Jamnagar airport on Monday evening.

Indian scientists discover new anti-cancer agent showing huge promise

Indian scientists from Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), the Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) in Pune, and IIT Hyderabad have discovered an alternative drug molecule indicating high antitumor potential on cancer cells with exceptional ability to reduce unwanted growth of blood vessels (antiangiogenic effect), said one of the scientific team members here on Tuesday.
