Indian American Amit Patel sentenced to 6.5 years in prison, ordered to pay $22 mn to Jacksonville Jaguars

Indian American football executive Amit Patel, 31, was sentenced this week by US District Judge Henry L. Adams to six and a half years in prison for committing wire fraud and engaging in an illegal monetary transaction. The former Jacksonville Jaguars administrator was also ordered to forfeit the entire amount of $22,221,454.40, the proceeds of the wire fraud.
