Indian-origin Silicon Valley professionals launch Indian Engineers Without Borders

A new nonprofit of, for, and by Indian-origin engineers ‘Indian Engineers Without Borders’ (IEWB) was launched by Indian Professional Without Borders, a global organization for professionals of Indian origin, on February 10 in California. The Silicon Valley-based organization said it aims to build a culture of collaboration and innovation between engineers of Indian origin worldwide. India’s Consul General in San Francisco Dr K. Srikar Reddy was the chief guest while Dr. Shailendra Joshi, former chief secretary and advisor to the Government of Telangana, India, was the keynote speaker.

India develops next-gen meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS, set to launch on Feb 17

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will put into orbit its next-generation meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS on February 17 at 5.30 p.m. with the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rocket, the space agency said on Thursday. The GSLV rocket, now in its 16th mission, will put INSAT-3DS into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. Subsequent orbit-raising maneuvers will ensure that the satellite is positioned in a Geo-Stationary Orbit.

India will launch an AI Mission to build AI computing capabilities of innovators: Modi at GPAI Summit

The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023 kicked off at the Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday, December 12. The summit will spotlight the progress and innovation in AI in the presence of government delegations from 29 GPAI member countries that are participating in the Summit along with GPAI’s multi-stakeholder Experts’ Group, Global AI Experts, multilateral organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. GPAI brings together experts from science, industry, civil society, governments, international organizations, and academia to foster international cooperation.

Indian Ambassador Sandhu attends launch of Make in India bicycles at Walmart

The Indian ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, expressed delight on Tuesday as he attended the launch of the first made-in-India bicycles in a Walmart store in America. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sandhu said, “Make in India, Make for the World!
