At the second Republican presidential debate, Indian American aspirant Vivek Ramaswamy said that he favours stripping birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants. Seven Republican candidates clashed at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California on Wednesday night where Ramaswamy was asked “what legal premise” he would use to expel undocumented immigrants and their US-born children from the country.
Putting forth her views on subjects pertaining to her country and beyond at the first Republican presidential primary debate, former South Carolina Governor and Indian American Nikki Haley, who has entered the fray for the White House, called for a “respectful” approach in an effort to find common ground on the subject of abortion.
The youngest Presidential candidate from the Republican party, Indian American Vivek Ramaswamy, has termed the US support for Ukraine, amid the conflict with Russia, as “disastrous” saying that if he is elected President, he would not support an increase in aid to the battle-scarred country. The tech entrepreneur made these remarks at the ongoing Republicans party’s first 2024 presidential primary debate.
He added that the resources going to Kyiv should be used domestically, instead.
