Billionaire Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, who is seeking a second term as the President of the United States of America, on Sunday, October 20, took on a new role as he wore an apron and worked at the fry station at a McDonald’s shop in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania. It was during his stint that Trump interacted with customers and one such with an American Indian couple went viral on the Internet.

As captured in a recording, the couple expressed their gratitude, praising Trump for making it possible for ordinary citizens to connect with a sitting president.

“Thank you, Mister President. You are not ordinary. You are the type of person we want to be our President,” the couple said. Trump responded graciously, “When you think about it, I guess that’s right. Thank you very much.”

Trump’s McDonald’s job was part of his campaign, which took on claims that Kamala Harris — Trump’s Democratic rival and current US Vice President — worked at a fast-food restaurant during her college years.

The former US President also said that he liked the job, of manning the fries, and said he might come back to do it again.

The Indian couple also thanked Trump for “taking a bullet” for them. The comment is about an assassination bid on the former President in the state a few months ago.

In July, Trump was shot in the upper right ear during an open-air rally in Butler. While the Republican nominee survived the assassination attempt, it exposed security concerns surrounding the former President.
