A top US senator has unveiled an 18-point plan which holds China responsible for Covid-19 spread and it also includes enhancing the military ties with India. The plan holds accountable for it’s lies and cover-ups which led to the global coronavirus pandemic.
The plan says: “The Chinese government maliciously covered up and enabled a global pandemic that has caused misery for so many Americans. This is the same regime that locks up its own citizens in labour camps, steals America’s technology and jobs, and threatens the sovereignty of our allies.
Senator Thom Tillis presented the 18-point plan on Thursday. He further said that it was a major wake-up call for the US government. The plan talked about sanctioning the Chinese government while protecting America’s interests.
The plan talks about deepening military and strategic ties with India, Taiwan and Vietnam. It also encourages the US to sell offensive military equipment to Japan and South Korea.
The plan stated the following: “Move manufacturing back to the US from China and gradually eliminate our supply chain dependency on China. Stop China from stealing our technology and provide incentives to American companies to regain our technological advantage. Strengthen cybersecurity against Chinese hacks and sabotage.”
“Prevent American taxpayer money from being used by the Chinese government to pay off their debt. Implement the US ban on (Chinese technology company) Huawei and coordinate with our allies to implement similar bans.
The plan also asks China to be banned for its atrocious human rights record. It also says that the International Olympic Committee should withdraw the 2022 Winter Olympics from Beijing.
The plan also asks for an independent World Health Organization. Recent emerging statements from the US indicate towards WHO favoring China.
This is to be noted that the coronavirus first emerged in China’s Wuhan city in December and has killed more than 300,000 people and has infected more than 4.3 million globally.
