The popular and veteran Indian film actor Rishi Kapoor has died at the age of 67. He was admitted to H N Reliance hospital by his family on Wednesday morning after his health deteriorated. The actor was being treated for cancer and he returned to India last September from New York after getting treatment for cancer for almost 1 year.
In February this year, the veteran actor was hospitalized twice due to his health issues. First he was admitted in a hospital in Delhi where he was attending a family function. At that time he had said that he was admitted to the hospital due to a serious infection. Later he was again admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for viral fever.
Apart from his hundreds of films, he was lately popular for his tweets on important subjects. He was one of the most active film personalities on Twitter but didn’t post anything after April 2.
The actor had earlier announced a remake of Hollywood film “The Intern”, also featuring Deepika Padukone.
Only yesterday another young and popular actor Irrfan Khan died due to the complications from cancer. He was 53.

Rishi acted in scores of films including hits like Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar , Sargam, Karz, Bol Radha Bol, Bobby, Chandani and others.
