Nine Indian-origin leaders in Time Magazine’s 100 Climate list

Nine Indian-origin leaders have been named to the ‘Time 100 Climate’, the magazine’s first-ever list of the world’s most influential leaders driving business to real climate action. The list, which includes CEOs, founders, philanthropists, musicians, policymakers and government officials from across the world, comes ahead of the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 30.

FIIDS delegates advocate fair immigration policies, congressional resolution on religious phobia

Indian American delegates from all over the United States gathered at Capitol Hill for the Capitol Hill Advocacy Day organized by the Foundation of India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS) on April 27. The purpose of this event was to raise awareness about policy matters and engage in discussions with more than 75 House representatives and their staff. The delegates aimed to provide a voice for the 4.5 million Indian Americans who contribute to various fields but lack sufficient influence on policy matters.

COP 27: Future Forward

The Climate Summit held earlier this year in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt posed more questions than answers to the calls for a viable approach towards reducing global warming, among others. Even as rhetoric ruled the roost, time-tried and tired echo chambers resonated with similar panels, same evocations, misplaced media moments, and righteous indignation from the elite to the exploited.
